Walkathon is about fun and community but its also a fundraiser and a significant contributor to all the amazing things the PTA is able to do for PS199.

First, you need to register your family for the Walkathon and then ask your family and friends if they will sponsor your child and help support their public school.  Our experience is that people are happy to support our neighborhood public school.

Any sponsorship donation is greatly appreciated and no donation is too small. Together, we can continue to help our school be an amazing place for our children.

There is a 4 % convenience fee to cover the credit card processing costs. To avoid the credit card fee fill out the donation form and return it with a check in Kidmail.

MATCHING FUNDS WITH YOUR COMPANY

Many companies offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Most match contributions dollar for dollar, and some double or triple the amount of your gift! Employer matching gifts may also be available to you if you are the spouse of an employee, a retired employee, or the spouse, widow or widower of a retiree.

Find out if your company will match gifts. Here are three easy and quick steps to double or even triple your donation:
  1. Obtain a form from your Human Resources Department
  2. Complete the employee information, including your donation amount and method
  3. We will do the rest by filling out our portion, sending it to your company’s processing department, and following up for the match!

The whole process is quick and the match will make your donation go much farther at no cost to you. It is also worth noting that many companies distribute donations on a quarterly or annual basis so the sooner you submit, the quicker your matched donation will be available to those that need it.
