Broadway Night Bios

 Jelani Alladdin

Jelani Alladin most recently starred in The Walking Dead World Beyond for AMC while also appearing on Law and Order SVU as well as FBI. On stage he was last seen as Hercules in Public Work’s musical adaptation of Disney’s Hercules. He made his Broadway Debut starring as Kristoff in Disney’s Frozen earning him a Drama Desk nomination for Best Leading Actor and a Drama League nomination for Distinguished Performance. He recently completed filming the independent feature Beneath the Fold. Jelani has also been featured in numerous commercials including specials for Ford and Spectrum. He has started his own production company, Dumont Millennial Productions, in hopes of producing his own work.

Farah Alvin

Farah Alvin’s Broadway credits include It Shoulda Been You, Nine, The Look of Love, Saturday Night Fever, and Grease! among others. Off-Broadway credits include Window Treatment (cast album), Goldstein, The Last Smoker In America (cast album), The Marvelous Wonderettes (Drama Desk Nomination, cast album), I Love You Because (cast album) and more. Lots of regional work including Papermill Playhouse, Goodspeed Opera House, Signature Theatre (Helen Hayes Award), Cape Playhouse, Geva Theater and Alabama Shakespeare. She has performed as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestras of Indianapolis, Cleveland, Detroit, and the National Symphonies of the United States and Canada. She is also occasionally a funny voice on your radio. Proud member of Actor’s Equity for 25 years. In New York, Farah performs regularly in the series Broadway By the Year at Town Hall, Broadway Close Up and Broadway Unplugged at Merkin Hall, Broadway’s Greatest Hits and 54 Sings…at 54 Below. Jeanine Bruen

Jeanine Bruen is a New York-based singer and actress. She has made her name known in the New York City cabaret scene, having graced such stages as that of the renowned Town Hall (Broadway Rising Stars 2016), 54 Below, The Green Room 42, and the Triad Theatre. Various regional theatre credits include the world premiere of Pamela’s First Musical at Two River Theatre, directed by ten-time Tony nominee Graciela Daniele. Recently, you may have caught Jeanine singing backup for Farah Alvin in the critically lauded Farah Alvin on Vinyl. Mia Mooko

Mia Mooko (she/her) is so excited to be performing tonight with her Jane St. bandmate! She is currently a senior at Pace University, where she is getting her BFA in Musical Theatre. After graduating this spring she will be headed back to her hometown of Seattle where she will be performing with the 5th Avenue Theater. She hopes you have a great night and enjoy the show!

Kevin Michael Murphy

 Kevin Michael Murphy is an actor and voice teacher based in NYC. Acting credits include The Book of Mormon (First National Tour), The Awesome 80’s Prom (Off-Broadway), various regional theatres, NYMF, NYC Fringe, and The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theatre. Kevin is also the Co-Creator of the Bistro Award winning concert series, If It Only Even Runs a Minute, which has played to sold out houses around NYC for over a decade. As a voice teacher, Kevin is the founder of the NYC Vocal Studio, and is currently on the voice faculty at NYU Steinhardt. Kevin’s voice students have appeared on Broadway/National Tours of: SpongeBob SquarePants, Head Over Heels, Aladdin, Something Rotten, Wicked, School of Rock, Spring Awakening, and more. Kevin’s work as a voice teacher playfully explores connections between the Brain, the Body, and the Artistic Self. His work takes a Holistic approach which incorporates Performance Psychology, Cognitive Science, Experiential learning, Pranayama Breathing techniques, Somatic awareness/Movement modalities, Feldenkrais, and the latest discoveries in Voice Science. In addition to holding a Master’s Degree from NYU, he has completed a 3 year mentorship training in Experiential Learning and Facilitation. www.NYCVocalStudio.com

Sara Lise Raff

Sara began her performing career in the New York City Public School system, singing in her elementary schools’ talent show, dancing with NDI and participating in the musical theater program at her local music school, the Third Street School of Music. She performed in a traveling show choir for her Junior High School and participated in their school musicals. She later attended LaGuardia High School as a vocal major and continued performing throughout her college years as a drama major. Sara has worked with many arts and education programs as a teaching artist and as an administrator of arts education programming until she landed at PS 199 where she has held many roles such as movement teacher, gym teacher, science teacher and substitute. Currently, Sara acts as an acrobat in the parent coordinator position at PS 199, balancing the needs of the students, parents and staff. It is a role of a lifetime, and she is forever grateful to serve this wonderful community!

Sabrina Santana

Sabrina Santana (she/her) is a current BFA Musical Theatre Senior at Pace University. Previous credits include Guys and Dolls, Second Line, Twelfth Night (Pace University) & a reading for The Greatest Showman at Disney Theatrics. Sabrina is currently assistant choreographing Pace MT’s Spring 2022 MainStage musical If/Then. Brooke Shapiro

Brooke is a born and raised New Yorker who was just seen in the world premiere of Punk Rock Girl! Drew Springer-Miller

Drew Springer-Miller is a proud native of Stowe, VT. Regional/University credits include Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Kayleen in Gruesome Playground Injuries, The Drowsy Chaperone in The Drowsy Chaperone, Emily in Love/Sick, and Madelaine in LaChiusa’s The Wild Party. Readings/Workshops credits include Dorothy in A Short History of Women (dir. Judith Ivey), Captain Hook in Pete(Her) Pan, The Dramatists Guild New Writer’s Series at The Players’ Club (dir. Gretchen Cryer), and Showtune Blowout (dir. Sam Pinkleton). Training includes the Arts Concentration Program in Drama at Choate Rosemary Hall, the Circle in the Square Theater School, and Pace University’s BFA Musical Theater Program, Class of 2020.

Alexander Tom, Music Director

Alexander Tom (he/him) is the interim Program Head for BFA Musical Theater at Pace University while serving as faculty for The Neighborhood Playhouse and composer with the BMI Lehman-Engel Music Theatre Advanced Workshop.

Throughout the pandemic, Alexander has remained active as the music assistant for Angelique Kidjo’s first theatre work, Yemandja, and the associate music director for New City Music Theatre’s inaugural production of Songs for a New World. Previous to the pandemic, he was the associate music director for the 10th Anniversary Tour of How the Grinch Stole Christmas and was responsible for orchestrations for Little Match Girl, and the vocal and dance arrangements for the off-Broadway premiere of Love & Yogurt and How the Westons Won with New York Theatre Barn & Out of the Box Theatrics. Alexander is currently working with lyricist and librettist, Alex Chang, on a new musical about the almost erasure of Asian immigrants at Yosemite National Park.

Madison Wechsler

Madison Wechsler (she/they) is an actor, writer, and musician from NYC and LA. She’s an upcoming graduate from Pace’s Musical Theatre BFA program! Madison's favorite roles and projects include Cherry Valance (The Outsiders), the pre-production of Evita at New York City Center (Eva u/s), and Martha Dunnstock (Heathers). All the love!!

Sammie Williams

Sammie is thrilled to be back performing for you all IN-PERSON! Most recently, Sammie was seen in Caroline or Change as Emmie. Before that, she made her Broadway and national tour debut as Alana Beck in Dear Evan Hansen! All my love to Michael Warner for always making this happen! What a guy!

Zack Zaromatidis

Zack is thrilled to be performing for Broadway Night at PS199! He was last seen as Carl Perkins in the world premiere of Million Dollar Quartet: Christmas. Prior to the pandemic, he was Donny Novitski in the National Tour of the Tony Award Winning Musical Bandstand. Some of his previous roles include Jack Kelly in Newsies, Jesus in Godspell, and Stine in City of Angels. When he isn’t acting on stage, he is usually performing gigs across NYC - Either as a solo act or in his band “All My Sons” whose self-titled album is available on all streaming platforms.
