Classes with the largest percentage of students registered will win awesome prizes!!!

Every Walkathon participant (parents/guardians, PS 199 students, siblings, grandparents, friends, children in strollers etc) needs to register.  

The Walkathon is the SECOND largest fundraiser for our school. Funds raised through registration fees make up only a small percentage of the funds we need to raise. That's why we need donations too! Even if you can't be at the event, please consider sponsoring your Child's Team.

 

Sponsoring your child's team is a great way to donate to PS199. All money raised goes to the PTA. The PTA funds many of the programs that ensure that our children get the well-rounded education they deserve. This includes arts programs, the hugely popular recess sports program, the Wellness in the School program that is bringing healthier food into our Cafeteria and lots more. The PTA even funds basic classroom supplies such as books, administration supplies and class furniture. This requires a huge financial commitment, especially when you consider the size of our school. Without the funds raised at events like the Walkathon this would not be possible.

Even if you can't walk, you can still contribute by making an online donation. All donations are appreciated – every dollar counts!

 


When you register online there is a convenience fee to cover the credit card charges. If you do not want to pay the fee please fill out the "Walkathon Registration Form" below and return it with a check in Kidmail.

 

We are always looking for volunteers to help us on the day of the event. if you are interested, please contact us at walkathon@ps199pta.org.

 
Each team page can be easily customized. Parents or class parents, if you would like to volunteer to customize your class' page, please email walkathon@ps199pta.org to get your Login Code.
